The contingent intervened violently against the political prisoners of Gdeim Izik after protesting against the confiscation of their own belongings and the harsh procedures introduced against them, which resulted in severe bodily injuries.

The situation of the political prisoners of Gdeim Izik is getting worse since they were deported late August to Alargat prison, and this is the second time within a short period that the prison management resorts to repressive methods contrary to the minimum standard principles of the treatment of prisoners and prisoners of conscience and the commitment of the Moroccan state to stop all methods of torture and cruel treatment.
